Kavita V. Bhagat

Kavita V. Bhagat is a Certified Specialist in Family Law, accredited Mediator, Arbitrator, and Parenting Coordinator at Ontario Family Law Solutions – a family law firm with offices in Brampton, Oakville, Mississauga, and Toronto. With over 20 years of exclusive family law practice across Peel Region and the GTA, she helps individuals and families navigate separation, divorce, custody, and property matters with clarity, compassion, and a commitment to practical resolution.

Kavita’s office is located at 215 Queen Street West in Brampton, where she has served clients throughout Peel Region for over two decades. Her practice is devoted entirely to family law, giving her clients a depth of experience and a focus that general practitioners cannot provide. Majority of her clients come through referrals from other lawyers and from former clients.

Certified Specialist in Family Law – Law Society of Ontario

In February 2015, Kavita was formally designated a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the Law Society of Ontario. The Certified Specialist Program recognizes members who have met established standards of experience, knowledge, and professional practice in a designated area of law. Kavita is one of only two holders of this designation practising in Peel Region.

Mediation, Arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution

Kavita is a strong advocate of early resolution. As an accredited Family Mediator, Arbitrator, and Parenting Coordinator, she pursues resolution through structured negotiation, mediation, and collaborative processes wherever possible, avoiding the delay and cost of court proceedings.

She also offers evaluative Voice of the Child Reports and is trained as a Collaborative Family Law practitioner. Where litigation is necessary, she is equipped to advance matters before the Superior Court of Justice, with reported decisions spanning two decades of practice.

Multilingual Representation – Five South Asian Languages

Kavita speaks five South Asian languages. This allows her to serve clients across Brampton and Peel Region’s diverse communities directly without the barriers that arise when clients cannot fully express themselves in English. Interpreters are also available for additional languages upon request.
